People
Pixel Brothers recognizes and appreciates the independent nature of each and every one of our employees. The company was founded by individual-minded operators who learned the business from the ground up. We dream big and offer the same level of attention to a corporate video as a TV pilot or feature film. And we have fun while we're doing it -- birthdays can turn raucous and the coffee machine here is near legendary. We look forward to sharing a cup with you.
Facilities
We're known for taking perfectly good studios and outgrowing them before the paint is dry. This time we've given ourselves room to grow. Our new facility in Chicago's West Town neighborhood sports a dozen Final Cut Pro edit suites, color correction, and audio sweetening. We've got practically a gazillion terrabytes of storage humming through fiber-optics to keep the place rockin', all nestled in a central, glass-walled server room.
We've gone green, too! Our building was constructed with the environment in mind. Deep wells in our parking lot provide geo-thermal heating and cooling. We recycle the heat, too! Remember that cool glass-walled server room? The heat generated from it in winter is re-directed to the rest of the office. Not a BTU wasted.
Our infrastructure is another example of our commitment to full service.
History
We can do it. A mix of talent, experience, focused determination and a strong client service ethos have allowed partners Mike Torchia, David Moravec and Andrew Ryann to build Pixel Brothers from its origins as a production/post-house into a full serve media company.
The partners' vast combined experience represents work in feature film, commercials, broadcast tv, corporate communication, music videos and live sports. Working together frequently, but as independents, the trio saw in each other qualities that supported a common goal - building strong client relationships and delivering the highest quality work. In 2003 they formed Pixel Brothers, and opened shop in Lincoln Park. Growth facilitated a move in 2005 to new space in West Town, and at the start of 2009 we have 28 employees in a killer new facility at Wolcott and Kinzie.
While we've grown quickly, we've kept quality at the center of everything we do. We’ve hired people with the same high regard for quality as our partners.
Launched in 2008 and rounding out our full serve offering is Pixel Brothers Interactive. Led by the team of Michael Holm and Michael Parker, who together have decades of experience in delivering top–quality custom and integrated media solutions and strategic expertise, Pixel Brothers Interactive presents a comprehensive service offering that drives innovation and customer value.
We wouldn't be full serve if we didn't show some creativity of our own. We're creating and marketing original content in a number of mediums (pilots, web initiatives, feature films and more). The creative energy fuels the industrial side of our business. We're building thought leadership to better serve our clients.
Yes, we can do it.
